Southside Market & Barbeque, originating in 1882 with founder William Moon's door-to-door meat sales, transitioned into a butcher shop in downtown Elgin before evolving into a restaurant under the Bracewell family's ownership in 1968. Bryan and Rachel Bracewell took over in 2010, expanding to additional locations in Bastrop, Austin, and Hutto, offering a diverse menu featuring brisket, pork ribs, and their renowned jalapeno- and cheese-stuffed sausage slammer. With a focus on quality ingredients and team excellence, Southside continues to grow, with plans for further expansion.
