Southside Garlic Sausage Dressing

We’ve combined our Southside Garlic Sausage with a blend of fresh herbs, vegetables, and breadcrumbs to create a savory, Texas-style dressing perfect for any holiday meal. This easy-to-make side dish brings all the flavors of traditional stuffing, enhanced with the bold, garlicky kick of our signature sausage.

Ingredients:
  • 13.3 oz Southside Garlic Sausage – remove casing and crumble
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 cups bread crumbs (day-old bread works best)
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a medium baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add crumbled Garlic Sausage, onion, and celery, and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine sausage mixture with bread crumbs, chicken broth, parsley, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir until evenly mixed and bread is slightly moist.
  4. Transfer to the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden and crisp.

Tips/Notes:
For a richer flavor, toast the breadcrumbs before mixing.
